T01 - Sightseeing à la minute – Vienna’s highlights – bus tour

During this tour, your will get the first compact impression of Vienna, its location and extend, its inhabitants and of course its history. The Prater area is your highlight with the Giants Ferries Wheel, next passing the “Hundertwasser” house from Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The stunning buildings can already be seen along the “Ringstrasse” – This grand boulevard was built to replace the city wall. It runs along the museum of applied art, the State opera, the museum of fine arts and natural, the parliament, the city hall, burg theatre and the university – end at the state opera house.

T02 - Delving into the Viennese life – walking tour 

Vienna is known for its rich history, art and music. But what about the habits and traditions of the locals so called "Weana"? For example, the Viennese coffee house culture. These charming hot spots already exist since 1685 in Vienna. Over the years especially popular among writers, poets and musicians were the creative atmosphere and the strange coffee variations.
On the trail of these "Cafés", reflecting the traditional Viennese life at best, the tour leads through the city centre. Along the way the participants learn about the importance of other Viennese "specialities" such as the ball season and the Viennese Waltz, Fiacre, “Würstel” sausages-stand, Sacher Torte, schnitzel and apple strudel.

T03 - Mozart & Strauss – the classical pop stars – walking tour

Mozart and Strauss are Vienna’s most popular musicians - each of the two influenced the cultural life and heritage of Europe and the world forever - each in his respective century.
During his childhood, Mozart visited the city twice (1762 and 1767) and earned first admirers in the imperial family as a child genius. In 1781 he came to live longer in Vienna. In a letter to his family he wrote: "Vienna is the perfect place for my music."
Strauss - the inventor of the Viennese waltz - lived between 1825 to 1899 in Vienna. He created a new body and life awareness. The waltz was the first dance in which men and women danced very close together. What a new experience! Still today couples sweep through the imperial palaces and the State Opera in the stormy ¾ tact.
This walk takes participants to the most significant sites of these two exceptional musicians like the golden statue of Johann Strauss in the Stadtpark or the cathedral of St. Stephan.

T04 - Schönbrunn Palace – bus tour

Schönbrunn (beautiful fountain) represents one of the most important pieces of Austria´s cultural heritage.
Experience a walk through the splendid imperial apartments of the Habsburg family. Each and every room, every hallway has his own story to tell – stories that are characteristic for the way of life and the atmosphere of imperial times.
After the palace tour, you enjoy a coffee break with an apple strudel show. Whilst the show you learn how the typical Viennese apple strudel is made – of course followed by strudel-tasting.

T05 - Segway-Tour through Vienna

In very small groups (max. 9 participants per group), the guests will explore both the historical and “green” Vienna. This tour is possible by Segways.
From the meeting point in the inner city the route runs along the Ringstrasse. Passing State Opera and the historical Museums a short stop with refreshments at the monuments in front of the Hofburg (imperial palace) is planned.
Next up is a drive through the old town to the “Hundertwasserhaus”, an architectural highlight in Vienna! Friedensreich Hundertwasser was an Austrian artist and architect. His buildings are inspired especially by nature. There are trees growing out of the windows, many colours are used and no straight lines exist.
The tour continues in the direction of the Prater, the former imperial hunting grounds. Today it is a popular recreational area of the Viennese population.
The finish line is at another Viennese landmark. Right next to the 1897 built Giant Ferris Wheel the group gets a well-deserved break. Of course, it is possible to arrange a ride including a breath-taking view over Vienna.

T07 - Wachau – the romantic valley of the Danube – 1 day trip

The Wachau is located in the west of Vienna and stretches between Melk and Krems. The interaction of natural and cultural landscape determines the unique character and attractiveness of the region. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Danube flows here past quaint towns, and villages, past vineyards and fields of fruit trees (mainly apricots!).
The excursion to the Wachau includes also a tour of Melk Abbey, one of the best known and most famous baroque monuments in Austria and a romantic boat ride between Melk and Dürnstein.

T08 - Burgenland, the sunny part of Austria- 1 day trip

Burgenland is situated in the south-east of Vienna, and is known for its viticulture, its thermal springs, extraordinary landscape and the highest number of sunny hours in Austria. The famous Lake Neusiedl and its unique flora and fauna have been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2001.
The first stop of the sunny tour is Eisenstadt, Burgenland’s capital. This small baroque town is well known for Esterhazy castle and the Haydn Church. Joseph Haydn worked for more than 40 years as court-chapel-master at the court of Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy. Many of his compositions were premiered in this church. Haydn is buried in the Mausoleum of the church.

The next stop – is at Mörbisch where you enter a Boat and cruise through the lake Neusiedel accompined with barbeque lunch on board.

T09 - Linz – Kepler Day Trip

Linz is a symbiosis as a city of industry, culture and nature, and an international, contemporary Creative City – surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. We will walk on the steps of Kepler. The protestant council of Upper Austria offered Johannes Kepler a special job in Linz. After the death of Emperor Rudolf II and the death of his wife, Kepler moved from Prague to Linz in 1612. In Linz he wrote revolutionary works. They are milestones of astronomy and mathematics. We will walk through the inner city of Linz, enjoy a nice lunch in one of the typical restaurants. Some spare time for walking on your own and then we drive back to Vienna.

Konkoly Observatory was founded in 1899, when Miklós Konkoly Thege donated his private observatory (f. 1871) to the state. Today, it forms the basis of the Astrophysical Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the largest astronomical research institute in Hungary. Recent observational research activities are made in the Mátra mountain area, while the telescopes of the Konkoly Observatory are transformed to educational and visual demonstrator telescopes.
