IAU Grant Information

IMPORTANT: The grant only includes early-bird fee, even if you register after the early-bird deadline (January 31, 2018). The remaining grant money will be paid in cash, at the conference venue. Please note that participants who apply for a grant do not have to pay their registration fee immediately. Please select "Payment via bank transfer (invoice will be sent via e-mail)". For these participants the registration fee shall be fixed only after they receive the notification about the IAU grant (mid April 2018): Those who do not receive a grant will still have the possibility of paying the early-bird fee immediately after the notification (if they have registered before January 31, 2018). If they want to decline from registration, they can do so until April 27, 2018 by e-mail to congress@univie.ac.at (without losing money).

In Order to apply for the IAU grant, participants must proceed through the following steps:

• REGISTRATION at https://astronomy2018.univie.ac.at/registration 
  After the successful registration, the participant will receive a confirmation e-mail with further information, the payment invoice for the registration fee and a link to the abstract submission.
  
  
• ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
  The confirmation e-mail of the successful abstract submission will contain a link to the submission form of the IAU grant. 
  
  
• IAU GRANT APPLICATION
  Please fill in the IAU grant application form. In order to be considered for an IAU grant, the abstract and grant application must be submitted before February 28, 2018, 24:00 CET.
